After a long period of years finally, Kuttipuram-Ponnani highway is going to be open on January 2016. It is announced that national highway up to Ponnani will be inaugurated by Home minister of Kerala, Sri Ummen chandi on 16th January 2016. Almost all works of highway have completed.

The highway will start from Kuttipuram Bridge (Near Pamba) and pass through Ayankalam, Thandilam, and Chamravattam before it reaches to Ponnani. It takes 11 km from to reach Chamravattom Junction from Kuttipuram. It is expected that traffic problems will be resolved after opening new highway. In the year of 1987, the tender which was given to a private company and later it was cancelled. After new tender was given under state government to KCC(the Kerala Constructions Corporation) for 31.14 crore Rupees. Four Construction Company had participated in the new tender process, which are Kerala Construction Corporation, Uralungal Labour Contract Cooperative Society (ULCCS), Concord Construction Company and Eranad. Most all approach roads of Kuttipuram Ponnani National highway are completed.

Join Kuttipuram Ponnani national highway from Kuttipuram Bridge (near Pamba). It takes only 10-15 mints (11 km) to reach chamravattam junction (without traffic). There is well-maintained approach road to reach Chamravattam Bridge and other nearby places.
